We were very disappointed that we could not retain the Three Oaks despite all of our efforts so we are delighted to have been able to play our part in ensuring its unique legacy continues. Carrie has done some incredible work in creating the benches and I’m sure they will be admired by local people for many generations to come. It is fantastic to see these wonderful artworks in place for all to enjoy. Highways England Construction Assurance Manager Dave Marlow said: ![]() I encourage you to come and view the true beauty and artwork of the benches for yourselves I have no doubt you will be as thrilled and impressed with them as I am. On behalf of Higham Ferrers Town Council I cannot thank enough all of those involved in the project to bring the Three Oaks back to life and to the Castle Fields - Ground Control, Highways England, Carnell and local resident, Justina Bryan who was instrumental in the campaign. It was a shame the much-loved tree had to be removed but the use of the wood to create the benches is a fitting tribute. I am truly honoured to be unveiling these benches that have been so skilfully carved by Carrie to depict the wildlife in and around the environment of the Three Oaks tree. The benches were officially handed over to Mayor Councillor Tina Reavey at Castle Fields, Higham Ferrers, where they will complement a Timber Trim Trail being created by the town council.Īfter lifting the covers from the benches, Mayor Councillor Reavey said: When all efforts to save the tree – known as Three Oaks – proved fruitless, the project team recruited woodcarver Carrie Yuen who has transformed the three trunks into unique artworks. The oak tree had to be taken down for safety reasons as part of a £24 million improvement scheme at the A45/A6 Chowns Mill roundabout in Northamptonshire which will tackle congestion and improve journeys. Highways England lifted the wraps to reveal the finished artworks as they were placed in their new home on scenic green space to be enjoyed by all.

This group of principles can help you refine your marketing aims, organizational objectives, and customer relationship building. It later expanded to include 3 new elements-people, packaging, and process. This concept-sometimes known as the marketing mix-started with 4 P's-product, price, promotion, and place-as the essential elements of a marketing campaign. The 7 P's of marketing is a set of principles that professionals use to attract and engage customers, motivate customer sales, and increase revenue. The serial position effect and the 7 P's of marketing Customers are better at remembering the call to action or the offer that is at the end of a sales message or a podcast sponsor that is mentioned at the end of the content. The recency effect is the tendency to remember the last few items better because they are still fresh in short-term memory or working memory. And when you are shopping online, you're more likely to remember the first few items or options that you see than the ones further down the page that require scrolling to see. The more information you encounter after the first items, the less brain power you have left to devote to each subsequent one.įor example, you are more likely to remember an ad's brand name and slogan than the details or features of the offer. The primacy effect is the tendency to remember the first few items better because they are more likely to be remembered, repeated mentally, and transferred to long-term memory. The effect has two main components-the primacy effect and the recency effect. The first and last items in the list are always the most memorable, while the items in the middle are the most easily forgotten. It was first identified by German psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus in 1885 and has been studied through what's known as "free recall" tests, in which someone is shown a list of items and then asked to recall them in any order. People tend to recall the first and last items in a series better than the middle items. The serial position effect is the psychological tendency that affects how we remember information in a sequence. You need to make sure that your product doesn't get lost in the crowd, and the serial position effect can help. ![]() You've got a great product or service, but finding the right customers and closing the sale can be a challenge. ![]() You can adjust this for each frame individually by clicking the time below the frame (it defaults to 0 sec.). Place the corresponding image in the order of how you want the animation to appear (only the layers that need to be visible should be enabled, while the rest remain closed) for each frame you work on.Įach frame has a delay time, which determines how long it will display before switching to the next frame. The number of frames is based on your specific needs. Copy the selected frame on the timeline. Here are the steps for manually setting up the timeline: Of course, manual adjustments are also possible, but the process can be more complex, especially for GIFs with a large number of frames. Photoshop's assignment is based on the layer order, which is why the visibility of the layers is not as important as the layer order, as mentioned earlier. The "Make Frames from Layers" feature on the timeline allows Photoshop to automatically recognize and intelligently assign each frame to its corresponding layer. This will convert all the layers in your Layers panel into individual frames in your GIF. In the timeline panel, select the dropdown arrow beside the settings icon, and choose "Make Frames From Layers". If it says "Create Video Timeline" instead, click the dropdown arrow to switch it to "Create Frame Animation". The Timeline window will open at the bottom of your screen.įrom there, click "Create Frame Animation". To turn your images into frames for your GIF, go to "Window" > "Timeline". Just make sure that the order of the images is correct (the first frame of the GIF should be placed at the bottom of the layer stack, and so on). We will explain the reason for this later. Please note that you don't need to ensure that every GIF layer is visible (the eye symbol on the left side of the layer indicates layer visibility). Click "Browse." and select all the images you want to include in your GIF, and then click OK.Īrrange the images you want to display in the layers in the correct sequence (Note: Make sure to arrange them in the right order to avoid any strange-looking animations). Once you get the hang of it, you can complete it in less than a minute. The feature for making GIFs is called "Timeline" in Photoshop, and the process is incredibly simple. Most of us associate Photoshop with tasks like editing images or applying graphic effects, but few people realize that it can also be used to create animated GIFs. Transparency can be set, allowing objects to appear floating on the background (similar to a 3D effect).GIFs can include multiple frames, making it possible to create simple animation effects.Due to its limitation of handling only 8-bit compression, GIFs can only display a maximum of 256 colors, making it less suitable for complex color images.Excellent compression performance, allowing for a balance between image quality and file size reduction.GIFs have the following four main characteristics: GIFs have the ability to include multiple frames, gradually evolving into the dynamic image format we are familiar with today. ![]() GIF, short for Graphics Interchange Format, is a bitmap compression file originally designed to reduce the time it takes to transmit images over the internet. Its function is similar to a water wheel: Body Fluids, Qi and food are transported through the San Jiao and that very movement helps our metabolism. The Triple Burner (Sanjiao) is a special concept in TCM with no corresponding organ in modern medicine. In addition to performing respiration, the Lungs are thought in TCM to be a key part of the production chain for Qi and the Body Fluids that nourish the body. In addition to regulating Blood flow, the Heart is believed to be the store of the 'Mind' which basically refers to someone's vitality. It also controls the emotion of decisiveness. Similar to modern medicine, in TCM the Gallbladder stores and releases bile produced by the Liver. As such Zhi Zi is thought to target the Gallbladder, the Heart, the Lung and the Sanjiao. The tastes of ingredients in TCM also determine what Organs and Meridians they target. Bitter ingredients like Zhi Zi tends to have a cleansing action on the body by clearing Heat, drying Dampness and promoting elimination via urination or bowel movements. The so-called 'Five Phases' theory in Chinese Medicine states that the taste of TCM ingredients is a key determinant of their action in the body. Depending on your condition Zhi Zi can help restore a harmonious balance between Yin and Yang. Those who have too much Heat in their body are said to either have a Yang Excess (because Yang is Hot in nature) or a Yin deficiency ( Yin is Cold in Nature). Herbs that clear Heat and purge Fire treat the latter and as such tend to be Cold or Neutral in nature.Īs suggested by its category Zhi Zi is Cold in nature.
